Spring Breakout concludes with 4 games today
Spring Breakout has returned for the second season after debuting last year to much fanfare. The weekend began with a bang as the Rays edged the Red Sox on Thursday night with home runs coming from four of MLB's top 12 prospects, including Boston's top three and Tampa Bay's No. 1.
Like last year, all 30 Major League clubs formed teams of their best prospects at the showcase event, which continues through Sunday night. The rosters are packed with top prospects again, with 68 members of the current Top 100 Prospects list, and nearly two-thirds of the 900 players who make up teams’ Top 30 Prospects lists.
