Born in Hyogo, Japan in 1975. Suzuki moved to the U.S. in 1992 to pursue baseball and recorded 4 wins and 12 saves the next year with Class-A San Bernardino. In 1996, he became the third Japanese MLB player in history, signing with the Seattle Mariners. He also became the first Japanese player to play in the American League (AL). In 1998 he recorded his first MLB win and later won 8 games including his first MLB shutout for the Royals in 2000. Suzuki also played in Mexico, Taiwan, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and independent leagues in the United States.

Noguchi became an astronaut in 1996 and worked for NASA for 26 years. He participated in 3 spaceflights, 4 extravehicular missions, and also became the first person to conduct 3 types of space returns, earning him two Guinness World Records. He received a YouTube Creator Award for his live performance of Chopin from space, as well as an award from the Japanese Association of Qualitative Psychology for his research on human experiences in space. His hobbies include camping, writing lyrics, and flying airplanes. A committed MLB fan, he received special permission from NASA to bring baseballs autographed by Hideo Nomo and Ichiro, as well as a glove signed by Shohei Ohtani, to space.

Born in 1979. An alumnus of Keiai Gakuen High School in Japan, Igarashi was drafted second overall by the Yakult Swallows, joining the team in 1998. A reliever throughout his career, he pitched 906 games combined in the U.S. and Japan. In 2004, he tied the then-Japanese record for fastest pitch at 158 km/h (98.2mph). After retiring in 2020, he has worked as a baseball commentator and YouTuber.

As captain of the Soka University baseball team, he led the team to become one of the top four teams nationally. He also won a university batting title and award for most stolen bases. Established his YouTube channel "Toku-san TV" in August 2016; the channel now has over 830,000 subscribers.

Saito was drafted first overall by the Taiyo Whales (later the Yokohama Baystars) in 1991 out of Tohoku Fukushi University, later contributing to the Baystars’ 1998 Japan Series championship as a starter. He joined the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2006 and served as the team’s closer. From ‘09 onwards, he played a central role in the bullpens of the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, Milwaukee Brewers, and Arizona Diamondbacks, all on one-year contracts. He returned to Japan in 2013 with the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. As a veteran, he led the team to their first-ever Japan Series championship. After retiring at the end of the 2015 season, he interned for a year with baseball operations at the San Diego Padres to learn front office work. In 2017, he became the team’s Pacific Rim Advisor. He also worked as an MLB commentator and on projects to promote the popularity of baseball. He served as a pitching coach on the Tokyo Yakult Swallows during 2020, and has been a commentator on NHK’s MLB broadcasts since 2021.

Iguchi was first overall by the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks (now-the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks) in 1996 out of Aoyama Gakuin University. A true triple threat, he quickly became one of Japan’s best second baseman with his hitting, baserunning, and fielding skills. In January 2005, Iguchi became the second Japanese infielder in history to sign a Major League contract, joining the Chicago White Sox. He was a key player in the White Sox’s World Series championship that year and later won another World Series in 2008, with the Phillies. He now works as a baseball commentator for NHK and Sankei Sports.

Makino became a “Hello! Project! idol trainee in November 2012 , later became a member of the “Morning Musume” idol group in September 2014. A committed fan of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters, she attended nearly 50 Fighters games every year before joining Morning Musume, even traveling to watch the Fighters during spring training. A Fighters fan since early childhood, she often sat in the outfield cheering sections. To this day, she can sign nearly all of the players’ fight songs from when she was young. Makino made her CD debut in April 2015 with the single “Seishun kozo ga naiteiru/Yugure wa ameagari/Imakokokara”
