Blake Snell, Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani, Dodgers
Snell has been placed on the 15-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation retroactive to April 3.
Freeman is expected back at the beginning of the Dodgers' next homestand, which starts on April 11 against the Cubs, after aggravating his surgically repaired right ankle by slipping in the shower.
Ohtani (right elbow surgery) threw 26 pitches in a bullpen session on April 5.
Victor Robles and Jorge Polanco, Mariners
Robles was carted off the field in Seattle's April 6 game against the Giants after colliding with the wall and netting in right field. Manager Dan Wilson said postgame that the injury initially appeared to be to Robles' left shoulder.
Polanco was out of the lineup on April 5-6 with left knee soreness.
Ketel Marte, D-backs
The D-backs placed Marte on the 10-day injured list on April 5, one day after he suffered a left hamstring strain against the Nationals.
George Springer and Max Scherzer, Blue Jays
Springer left the Blue Jays' April 5 game against the Mets with lower back spasms after an eighth-inning collision with the outfield wall. He was out of the lineup on April 6.
Scherzer (right thumb inflammation) is not ready to start playing catch yet, manager John Schneider said on April 4. The Blue Jays hope he'll be able to resume throwing at some point during their current road trip, which runs through April 13.
Nestor Cortes, Brewers
Cortes was placed on the 15-day IL with a left elbow flexor strain on April 6, retroactive to April 4.
Spencer Strider and Reynaldo López, Braves
Strider, who is recovering from right elbow surgery, recorded eight strikeouts and kept Nashville hitless over 5 1/3 scoreless innings (75 pitches) for Triple-A Gwinnett on April 4. The Braves will decide if he needs another rehab start.
López will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder on April 8. The Braves are hopeful he will pitch again this year, but they won’t know until the procedure is completed.
David Peterson, Mets
Peterson left his start on April 6 against the Blue Jays in the fifth inning after experiencing nausea and blurred vision.
Giancarlo Stanton, Luis Gil, Clarke Schmidt, Jonathan Loáisiga and DJ LeMahieu, Yankees
Stanton (torn tendons in both elbows) has been hitting off a high-velocity Trajekt machine and is “feeling significantly better.”
Gil (right lat strain) could resume playing catch within a week to 10 days, manager Aaron Boone said on April 4.
Schmidt (right shoulder fatigue) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset on April 5, striking out seven in an impressive start.
Loáisiga (right UCL surgery) is throwing bullpen sessions but has yet to face hitters.
Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee, Twins
Lewis (left hamstring strain) started his running progression on April 5, but he's still at least a few weeks away from being activated.
Lee (lower back tightness) began a rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers on April 6.
Andrew Benintendi, White Sox
Benintendi exited early on April 6 with left adductor tightness. He's day to day.
Iván Herrera, Cardinals
Herrera exited Game 1 of a doubleheader against the Red Sox on April 6 after the top of the third inning with left knee inflammation.
Matt McLain, Alexis Díaz and Andrew Abbott, Reds
McLain was scratched from the lineup with left hamstring tightness on April 4 but entered the game as a pinch-hitter. He was once again scratched on April 5 after being penciled in as the DH. He remained out on April 6.
Díaz (left hamstring strain) made his second rehab appearance with Triple-A Louisville on April 6.
Abbott (left shoulder) made his second rehab start for Louisville on April 6, throwing 92 pitches (53 strikes) over 4 1/3 innings.
Grayson Rodriguez, Orioles
Rodriguez (right elbow inflammation) is slated for a bullpen session on April 7, where he will throw fastballs and changeups.
Ranger Suárez, Phillies
Suárez (back) threw 34 pitches in a live BP session on April 5 in Clearwater, Fla. Manager Rob Thomson said everything went well and a decision will be made in the next couple of days on the next step.
Nick Fortes, Marlins
Fortes was scratched from the lineup on April 5 after experiencing neck discomfort during pregame work.
Josh Jung, Rangers
Jung (neck spasms) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Frisco on April 5. If all goes well, he could be activated on April 8.
Yoán Moncada and Ryan Zeferjahn, Angels
Moncada (right thumb irritation) and Zeferjahn (right hamstring tightness) were out of the lineup on April 5-6 after exiting the Angels' home opener on April 4 due to injury.
Alec Marsh, Royals
Marsh suffered a setback when he felt soreness in his right shoulder during his extended spring training outing April 3.
Gleyber Torres, Matt Vierling and Alex Cobb, Tigers
Torres (left oblique strain) took 20 swings off a tee without discomfort on April 5.
Vierling (right rotator cuff muscle strain) is doing all baseball activities except throwing, including taking batting practice in the cage at Comerica Park. He is expected to undergo an MRI exam the week of April 7 to determine the next steps, including a possible throwing progression.
Cobb (right hip inflammation) threw a bullpen session on April 5. He's scheduled for a live session against hitters on April 8.
