Tyler Glasnow, Shohei Ohtani and Clayton Kershaw, Dodgers
Glasnow was placed on the 15-day IL on April 28 with right shoulder inflammation.
Ohtani (right elbow and left shoulder surgeries) had a 31-pitch bullpen session on April 26, throwing only four-seamers, two-seamers and splitters. The big next step, facing hitters, will not take place until Ohtani is working with his entire pitch mix.
Kershaw (left toe and left knee surgeries) made his second rehab start on April 22 with Double-A Tulsa. His next is scheduled for April 29 with the goal of stretching him out to five innings and 75 pitches.
Jordan Westburg, Gary Sánchez, Tyler O'Neill and Zach Eflin, Orioles
Westburg (left hamstring strain) and Sánchez (right wrist inflammation) were placed on the 10-day injured list on April 28.
O'Neill, who has been dealing with neck soreness for several days, was placed on the 10-day IL on April 26 with neck inflammation. He is not expected to be out far beyond the minimum 10 days.
Eflin (right lat strain) is scheduled for the second bullpen session of his throwing progression on April 29.
Giancarlo Stanton, Marcus Stroman, Jonathan Loáisiga, Luis Gil and DJ LeMahieu, Yankees
Stanton (torn tendons in both elbows) remained in New York to continue workouts, including running and on-field work, as of April 28. He took a big step in his rehab by hitting in on-field batting practice in Cleveland on April 22.
Stroman (left knee inflammation) is still experiencing discomfort as of April 28, according to manager Aaron Boone, who said Stroman is continuing to play catch but has “nothing ramped up yet" and that he is dealing with “some irritation that won’t leave."
Loáisiga (recovery from right UCL surgery) began a rehab assignment on April 26 with Single-A Tampa and is “still a few weeks away,” per Boone.
Gil (right lat strain) began a throwing program on April 27.
LeMahieu has played three games at second base to begin his rehab assignment with Double-A Somerset and is expected to get reps at third base with Triple-A Scranton in the coming week.
Royce Lewis, Luke Keaschall, Willi Castro and Matt Wallner, Twins
Lewis (left hamstring strain) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul on April 25. He will likely need to play back-to-back days in the field on his rehab assignment before he is activated. The next homestand seems to be a likely target.
Keaschall (non-displaced right forearm fracture) does not need surgery at this time, but it will likely be "a couple months" before he's playing in games again.
Castro (right oblique strain) has resumed most baseball activities other than hitting left-handed. The Twins hope to have a better read sometime in the middle of the week as to when he may return.
Wallner (left hamstring strain) is playing catch but has not resumed any other baseball activities.
Luis Arraez and Jason Heyward, Padres
Arraez (concussion protocol) is now symptom-free and could return as soon as April 29 against the Giants.
Heyward (left knee inflammation) is progressing, per manager Mike Shildt, and could also potentially return on April 29.
Cole Ragans, Royals
Ragans was diagnosed with a “very mild left groin strain” after leaving his start against the Rockies on April 24 with tightness in the area. He's been well enough to play catch since, but the Royals haven't determined whether he'll be able to make his next scheduled start on April 30.
Josh Jung, Rangers
Jung left the Rangers' April 27 game against the Giants with a laceration on his right index finger.
Paul Sewald, Shane Bieber, Trevor Stephan and David Fry, Guardians
Sewald exited the April 28 game vs. the Twins with right shoulder inflammation.
Bieber, Stephan and Fry, all working back from surgeries to repair UCL damage in their throwing arms, are expected to start game activity in May.
Brandon Marsh, Cristopher Sánchez and Ranger Suárez, Phillies
Marsh (right hamstring strain) left his April 27 rehab game with Triple-A Lehigh Valley after experiencing cramping in his injured hamstring.
Sánchez (left forearm soreness) was scheduled for a bullpen session on April 27.
Suárez (lower back stiffness) made his fourth rehab start on April 27 with Triple-A Lehigh Valley and could be activated within the week.
Daulton Varsho, Blue Jays
Varsho (right rotator cuff surgery) is likely to make his 2025 season debut on April 29.
Logan Gilbert and George Kirby, Mariners
Gilbert left his April 25 start against the Marlins after three innings with right forearm tightness. After undergoing testing on April 26, he was diagnosed with a mild (Grade 1) flexor strain. He will be shut down from throwing for two weeks, after which time he will be reevaluated to determine his next steps.
Kirby (right shoulder inflammation) threw a bullpen session at T-Mobile Park on April 25. The next step would be a live batting practice, which could come as soon as April 28.
Garrett Mitchell, Brewers
Mitchell was placed on the 10-day IL on April 26 with a strained left oblique. He is expected to miss about a month.
Tyler Stephenson, Reds
Stephenson (left oblique strain) will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Louisville on April 29, when he is expected to catch all nine innings.
Paul DeJong, Nationals
DeJong (fractured nose) will undergo surgery on April 28.
Matt Vierling, Tigers
Vierling (right rotator cuff muscle strain) is scheduled for a follow-up MRI on April 28 with the hopes of being cleared to begin game activity.
Spencer Horwitz, Pirates
Horwitz (right wrist) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Altoona on April 27.
Ryan Feltner, Rockies
Feltner's scheduled April 27 start against the Reds was pushed back to April 28 after he experienced back soreness lifting weights in preparation for his outing.
A.J. Minter and Paul Blackburn, Mets
Minter exited the game on April 26 after throwing nine pitches due to left triceps tightness. He was placed on the 15-day IL on April 27 with a left lat strain.
Blackburn (right knee inflammation) will throw a bullpen session at Citi Field on April 29.
Lucas Giolito and Connor Wong, Red Sox
Giolito (low grade left hamstring strain) is expected to make his Red Sox debut on April 30 against the Blue Jays.
Wong (left pinkie fracture) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Worcester on April 27.
J.T. Ginn and Zack Gelof, Athletics
Ginn was placed on the 15-day IL on April 26 with right elbow inflammation.
Gelof (right hamate fracture) is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Las Vegas on April 29.
Tyler Fitzgerald, Giants
Fitzgerald was out of the lineup April 26-27 due to lingering chest soreness stemming from a diving play on April 25.
Nolan Schanuel, Angels
Schanuel left the Angels' April 26 game after fouling a ball off his right knee. Testing revealed no structural damage and he reported feeling better the next day.
Lance McCullers Jr., Astros
McCullers (right flexor tendon surgery) threw 71 pitches in a rehab start for Double-A Corpus Christi on April 26.
Iván Herrera, Cardinals
Herrera (left knee bone bruise) has continued batting practice and catching the fastball machine and will run the bases next week. He could begin a possible Minor League rehab assignment on May 1.
Kendall Graveman and Kevin Ginkel, D-backs
Graveman (back tightness) threw 22 pitches in an extended spring game on April 26.
Ginkel (right shoulder inflammation) made a second appearance with Triple-A Reno on April 27.
Eury Pérez, Ryan Weathers and Griffin Conine, Marlins
Pérez (Tommy John surgery) and Weathers (left flexor muscle strain) began rehab assignments with Single-A Jupiter on April 26 and 27, respectively.
Conine will undergo surgery next week to repair his dislocated left shoulder.
