Well, we’ve just about made it. Twins Spring Training workouts begin on Thursday in Fort Myers, Fla., and there will be Grapefruit League games in two weeks. The hunt for a return to the postseason begins in a matter of days. As you prepare to make a trip to Florida, or just to start watching games and following updates from camp, here are the details you need to know about Twins 2025 Spring Training. When is the first workout for pitchers and catchers? Thursday When is the first full-squad workout? Feb. 17 Where is the team’s facility? Hammond Stadium at Lee Health Sports Complex is in Fort Myers, Fla., on 6 Mile Cypress Parkway, between US 41 and I-75. Can fans attend workouts? Yes, fans are welcome. Who are some new faces fans should know? It was mostly a quiet offseason until recently. The two main additions to the Major League roster are outfielder Harrison Bader and left-handed reliever Danny Coulombe. Catching prospect Diego Cartaya is another intriguing add, acquired in a trade with the Dodgers, and reliever Eiberson Castellano was taken in the Rule 5 Draft. |
Who are some of the top prospects invited to Major League camp? Spring Training invites have not been issued yet beyond the 40-man roster. Those are expected early next week. Twins No. 2 prospect and the No. 37 prospect in baseball Emmanuel Rodriguez is on the 40-man, so he’ll be there, as will club No. 5 prospect Marco Raya. It seems likely that outfielder Walker Jenkins, the organization’s top prospect and MLB Pipeline’s No. 3 in baseball, will get a taste of big league camp, as should infielder Luke Keaschall (Twins No. 3; No. 61 in baseball). When is the team’s first Grapefruit League game? Feb. 22, at home against the Braves at 12:05 p.m. CT. |
What are a few other notable spring games? The Yankees visit Fort Myers on Feb. 25, and of course that’s always a draw. The annual “Minnesota Day” game is set for March 2 at home against the Rays. The “crosstown” Red Sox visit Hammond Stadium three times, March 8, 16 and 20, with the last of those being one of two home night games this spring. The other evening contest is a split-squad affair against the Rays on March 14, and it will be followed by fireworks. Night home games start at 5:05 p.m. What is Spring Breakout and when is the game? Now in its second year, MLB Spring Breakout is a showcase event for the game’s top prospects, with each organization fielding rosters of top prospects for games against each other. All 30 teams participate in the event highlighting the future faces of baseball. The Twins’ Spring Breakout game is set for March 15, against Blue Jays prospects in Dunedin. It starts at 12:07 p.m. |
Will the team’s games be televised? Select games are expected to be carried on Twins.TV but specific details have not yet been announced. When is the club’s last game in Florida? The Twins are one of the last teams in Florida this year, finishing up camp with a game against the Rockies on March 25 -- two days before Opening Day. Will there be any additional exhibitions before the regular season? No, just a travel/workout day before things get going in St. Louis. What are the details for Opening Day? The Twins open the season on March 27 against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. It’s a 3:15 p.m. start in the shadow of the Arch. |

A) Ryan Jeffers Jeffers hit four long balls in camp last spring, one more than Wallner and two more than Julien, Kirilloff, and Max Kepler. Remarkably, Jeffers had just four spring RBIs, all on those four solo homers. |
