SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Spring Breakout is back in 2025, and the Rangers couldn’t be more excited to showcase some of the organization's best prospects on a national stage in 2025. 

The Rangers’ prospect squad will play the Giants' own team of prospects on March 15 at Scottsdale Stadium at 7:05 p.m. CDT.

Here are three players to watch in Spring Breakout: 

OF Alejandro Osuna (No. 8)
MLB ETA: 2025

No single player has made a bigger impression on Major League camp than Osuna, who has gone 11-for-24 with a handful of impressive defensive plays in the outfield. 

Osuna was the Rangers Minor League player of the year in 2024 after hitting .292/.362/.507 with 18 homers and 17 stolen bases between High-A Hickory and Double-A Frisco. He led all Texas farm hands in slugging, OPS (.869) and wRC+ (143). He also led the Arizona Fall League with 22 walks in 25 games. 

“He dealt with a little bit of injury stuff at the early part of last year, so that held him back,” said general manager Ross Fenstermaker, who spent the last few seasons overseeing player development. “Kudos to our scouts and our coaches who identified what might be a breakout coming, starting with how we signed them and that whole process. He plays like somebody who has Major League bloodlines, which he does. He just plays the game the right way. He plays it hard. He's got talent on top of it.”

C Malcolm Moore (No. 4) 
MLB ETA: 2027

The Rangers’ 2024 first-round pick, Moore is getting ready to kick off his first full year of pro ball. He played just 25 games with High-A Hickory after the Draft last season, and hit .209/.298/.374 while getting acclimated to the rigors of the Minor Leagues. 

Moore impressed the catching group in big league camp and the Rangers are confident in his ability to stick at the position, despite pre-Draft concerns about his defensive abilities. 

“Malcolm really worked on a lot of different things,” Fenstermaker said. “His receiving has improved immensely. His throwing to bases has improved immensely. I know it is a point of emphasis for him, and we believe in the offensive profile and some of the intangibles and leadership that he brings, as well.”

RHP Winston Santos (No. 5) 
MLB ETA: 2026

With Jack Leiter and Kumar Rocker competing for spots on the big league club, Santos is the Rangers’ highest rated pitching prospect available for Spring Breakout. 

Santos broke out last season, posting a 3.67 ERA between High-A Hickory and Double-A Frisco. He led the system in wins (11) and strikeouts (138 in 110 1/3 innings). 

“We've talked a lot about our pitching pipeline, our pitching development practices, and we're not all the way there yet,” Fenstermaker said. “We feel like we've created quite a decent-sized group in terms of guys that can come up and help contribute here in the near future. I feel like in some ways, [Emiliano Teodo] has become too famous with what he's done here in camp, and Winston is right behind him as well.”

Opening Day is just under three weeks away. Fans can already purchase single-game tickets for the 2025 season. Tickets to all home games, excluding Opening Day, can be purchased here.

Important matchups include:

• 24 Interleague games at Globe Life Field against the Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies, and St. Louis Cardinals.

• April 15-20: The first multi-series homestand of 2025 featuring Mike Trout and the Angels followed by the 2024 World Series champion Dodgers.

• May 16-18 & September 5-7: The Silver Boot Series, when the Rangers host the rival Houston Astros.

• August 4-6: The American League champion New York Yankees
